Tech #24 - Creative Light Painting

/ Comments (0)

Many of you are familiar with light painting or have at least seen it on the internet, but did you know it's been around since the mid-1930s? The first known photographer to use this technique was Man Ray in 1935. He signed his images with a pen light in his series "Space Writings." It wasn't until 74 years later that he was credited as being the first.

For those who don't know, the process of light painting involves shining a light directly in a camera lens while leaving the shutter open for a second or more.

And, of course, there's an app for that.
